Hotel day

As was the case about this time last year. The rain has gotten to us and we have pulled off the river to spend a night at the Holiday Inn in Paducah, Kentucky. They have washers and dryers and restaurants and other amenities we don’t get on the river. We stopped at the little grocery store where we were camping and they connected us with someone who would drive us the 25 minute distance. All things work out well. The driver needed some gas and we needed a ride! They let us check in early so we have both had warm showers and dry clothes and we will soon head out to visit the quilting museum here in Paducah and other sites as the weather may allow. Here are some pictures from the last few hours including the guys who hang out at the grocery, one of whom spend 40 years on the rover boats, our ride, and our wet, soggy selves at the hotel.
